The body has seven centers where energy flows through continuously, called chakras. Understanding the seven chakras can be extremely helpful in our daily lives. If any of the chakras are blocked or off balanced, it disrupts the flow of energy -- which could lead to sickness, problems, stress and other problems. So, it is a must to take a good care of your chakras in order to remain balanced, healthy and happy.
The centers of the body that belongs to the seven chakras, listed from the seventh to the first, are:
Crown Chakra
This chakra is referred to as the highest form of chakra. It is located at the top of the head and allows us to have a spiritual connection and awareness to our higher selves and the universal world.
Third Eye
This chakra is associated with higher consciousness and allows us to view things with a much more bigger perspective and understanding. It is located a our forehead and it aids in thinking, imagination, intuition, and wisdom.
Throat
This chakra is responsible for letting us communicate with other people and ourselves. It is located in the neck, and it aids for effective communication and speaking your truth.
Heart
This focuses on our ability to give and receive love. It is located in the center of the chest above the heart -- and is associated with love, inner peace, and joy.
Solar Plexus
This chakra is responsible for our level of confidence and ability to control our own lives. It is located within the upper abdomen, and is associated with self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth.
Sacral
This chakra allows us the ability to accept other people and new things in life. It is located on the lower abdomen, and is associated with sexuality, fertility, abundance, and well-being.
Root
This chakra is associated with our foundation and how grounded we feel. It is located in the tailbone area of the spine, and is associated with survival aspects and the feeling of safety and security.
